While most bars in the area have you hunching under a low ceiling, Grey opens up dramatically: the space rises three stories in a genuine atrium, giving the room a sense of air rare for this district. At the center sits a large, organically curved communal table designed so that strangers naturally drift into conversation. Walls and shelves are kept in uniform grey tones, and the only bursts of color come from oversized seasonal flower arrangements — gladioli, willow, or cherry blossoms depending on the time of year. At roughly 17 seats total, it's one of the more spacious venues in Golden Gai. That said, as a current official SNS presence and recent reviews could not be confirmed, it is strongly recommended to verify operating hours before visiting. If the atrium is still standing, this is the one to try for anyone who wants to challenge their preconceptions of Golden Gai as a world of cramped, dimly lit corners.
