According to a feature by Takarashuzo (circa 2013), owner Takehito Nakajima is an active player on 'Fowls,' a sandlot baseball team led by poet Takashi Hiraide—someone once praised by a legendary former player for his batting technique, yet coolly modest about it behind the counter. His focus is entirely on the day's handmade bar snacks: most notably, beef tongue simmered for half a day.
