瑠璃
A cat-themed bar run by owner Ruri, a self-described cat lover. The cat-illustrated sign and window-seat stuffed animals are charming first impressions. Foreign residents of Japan are among the regular visitors. A space that charms even non-cat-people, in one of Golden Gai's maze-like alleys.
Shinjuku Golden Gai is Tokyo's most iconic bar district — 295+ unique bars packed into six narrow alleys in Kabukicho, Shinjuku. A 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station East Exit, next to Hanazono Shrine. Featured in the Michelin Green Guide, it has been a cultural institution since the 1950s.
