A bar on the 2nd floor of G2-dori. The entry is barely half a mat wide, but upstairs opens into a surprisingly airy space with a high ceiling — a delightful contrast. The master, a musician who trained at Otokichi, plays rock, blues, R&B, and jazz on vinyl. Peaks after 2am.
Shinjuku Golden Gai is Tokyo's most iconic bar district — 295+ unique bars packed into six narrow alleys in Kabukicho, Shinjuku. A 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station East Exit, next to Hanazono Shrine. Featured in the Michelin Green Guide, it has been a cultural institution since the 1950s.
